2. Mississippi State University Runs the Calendar
Move-in weekend. Game days. Finals week. Graduation. Super Bulldog Weekend. Grocery lines, restaurant waits, and the entire town's rhythm all track to the MSU schedule. If you want a town that ignores its college, Starkville isn't it
3. Summers Are Hot and Humid
Mississippi heat is a wet heat - - it hangs on you from May through September. If you can't do humidity, you won't do Starkville
4. SEC Isn't Optional
Evenings and weekends revolve around cowbells, good food, and game times. If the SEC isn't your thing, you'll feel it most evenings and weekends from September through May
